In The Gambia, public hearings have begun into the sale and disposal of assets linked to former President Yahya Jammeh. The inquiry is being led by a Special Select Committee of the National Assembly.
The hearings, which commenced on Monday, aim to examine how Jammeh’s assets were managed, sold, or transferred following his departure from office.
The committee is expected to carry out its work over the next 120 days, inviting testimonies from key institutions and individuals involved in the asset process.
This marks a major step in The Gambia’s ongoing efforts to ensure transparency and accountability in the post-Jammeh era.
