Ghana’s development drive is falling short of its inclusive goals, warns the Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research (ISSER) in its 2024 Social Development Outlook.

The report highlights widening inequality rooted in persistent gaps in housing, youth employment, gender equity, and climate response.

ISSER, a research institute under the University of Ghana, called for urgent policy shifts to ensure that growth translates into real social progress for all Ghanaians.

As the country eyes long-term transformation, the report serves as a wake-up call to align development priorities with people-centered outcomes.
