Senegal’s young political class continues to rise as 35 aspiring leaders graduated from the Liberal Academy of Political Training in Dakar on July 9. The program, which aims to empower youth with political knowledge and skills, is run by the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom.
This year’s graduation marks the third batch of young politicians to complete the program since its launch three years ago. The event brought together families, political leaders, and supporters in a celebration of youth engagement in national leadership.
The academy serves as a platform for political reflection and training, offering young leaders the tools to participate meaningfully in democratic processes. It reflects a growing trend in Senegal where youth are stepping into influential roles.
As the country embraces a new wave of leadership, initiatives like this are shaping the next generation of policymakers who are expected to lead with innovation and purpose.
