With just three months to Côte d’Ivoire’s October 25 presidential election, opposition parties are stepping up demands for dialogue and electoral reforms.

Their push follows the departure of special envoys from the African Union and ECOWAS, who had visited to assess the pre-election climate. Concerns remain high as key opposition leaders are still barred from contesting.

Protesters in Paris and Abidjan rallied over the weekend, calling for a transparent, inclusive election process.

The government is yet to formally respond, but pressure is mounting for immediate talks to ensure political stability and democratic credibility.
