Niger is set to launch the first session of its newly established Consultative Council for Refoundation (CCR) on Saturday, June 28, 2025. The move follows a presidential decree signed by General Abdourahamane Tiani on June 23.
The CCR, whose members were appointed on May 1, represents diverse sectors of Nigerien society. Its mission is to develop key proposals for reshaping the country’s political, economic, and social frameworks in the wake of sweeping transitional reforms.
This inaugural session marks a significant step in Niger’s ongoing efforts to redefine national governance under its transitional authority.
