Kogi Central Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has been arraigned before an Abuja High Court on three charges, including defamation of Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
The court granted her bail at $32,000 and adjourned the case to September 23, 2025. While her lawyers say they’re ready for trial, civil society groups have criticized the federal government’s role, calling it interference in a civil dispute.
Senator Natasha has accused Akpabio of sexual harassment, fueling public interest in what could become a landmark case.
