The Malian Armed Forces (FaMa) have announced the neutralization of several insurgents during a military offensive carried out on Thursday. Among those killed was Attaye Ag Boulkhey, a senior commander of the jihadist Katiba group.
According to the army, the operation led to a fierce gunfight between FaMa troops and the armed group, ultimately resulting in the elimination of Boulkhey and several of his fighters.
This development marks a significant blow to extremist operations in Mali, as authorities intensify efforts to reclaim security in volatile regions. The army has reaffirmed its commitment to dismantling terrorist networks and restoring stability nationwide.
