More than 25,000 people have fled their homes in northern Mozambique in recent weeks, according to the UN, amid intensifying conflict and natural disasters.

This latest wave of displacement brings the national total to nearly 1.3 million people uprooted by violence, cyclones, and civil unrest. The situation is especially dire in Cabo Delgado province, where attacks by armed groups continue to devastate communities.

The UN Refugee Agency warns that women and children face the highest risks, including gender-based violence, family separation, and lack of identification documents.

Overall, nearly 5.2 million Mozambicans are in need of humanitarian aid as the crisis shows no sign of easing.
