A court in Abidjan has dismissed a legal challenge filed by Valérie Yapo against Tidjane Thiam’s leadership of the Democratic Party of Côte d’Ivoire (PDCI).
The lawsuit, heard at the Plateau Court of First Instance, sought to question Thiam’s legitimacy as party president. It was thrown out after two previous delays.
Interestingly, both parties are claiming victory following the ruling, signaling that the PDCI power struggle may not be over yet.
