Gambia’s National Assembly has formed a Special Select Committee to investigate the sale of assets seized from former President Yahya Jammeh.
The assets were confiscated following findings by the Janneh Commission, which uncovered widespread mismanagement during Jammeh’s rule.
Lawmakers now question the transparency and legality of how those properties were disposed of by the state.
Committee Chair Abdoulie Ceesay says the probe aims to restore public trust in the country’s post-Jammeh governance.
