Chad is reeling from fresh violence after deadly clashes erupted in the village of Mandakao, in the Logone Occidental province.

Authorities report that more than 30 people were killed, with several others seriously injured in the unrest.

A government delegation has since visited the area to assess the damage and offer support to the victims and their families.

Officials have promised to investigate the cause of the violence and ensure justice is served.
