The Intergovernmental Action Group against Money Laundering in West Africa (GIABA) has kicked off its 43rd plenary session in Dakar, Senegal.
The summit brings together representatives from member states to evaluate regional efforts and strengthen technical measures against money laundering and terrorist financing.
In his opening address, GIABA Executive Director Edwin Harris called for enhanced cooperation and political commitment to combat financial crimes.
The plenary will also examine country reports and recommend actions to improve compliance with international standards.
