Political and religious figures paid tribute to the late Pope, said he worked to consolidate peace throughout the world.
Recall between 2013 and 2025, during his pontificate, Pope Francis made five trips to Africa.
He denounced corruption and economic colonialism, and called for the protection of migrants.
