At least 51 people have been killed in a brutal attack in Plateau State, North-Central Nigeria.

The assault occurred early Monday in Zike, Bassa Local Government Area, where gunmen opened fire on fleeing residents.

This comes just weeks after a similar attack claimed 52 lives in the same state, deepening security concerns.

Local journalist Rwang Tengwong reports that homes were also torched, and survivors remain in critical condition.
