In Côte d’Ivoire, education unions have suspended their strike to allow fresh negotiations with the government.

The decision came after an extraordinary general meeting on Thursday at the Abidjan Technical High School.

Unions say the suspension is temporary and depends on the progress of talks over incentive bonuses.

Teachers are expected to resume work on Friday as dialogue continues.
