The Armed Forces of Liberia will launch Operation True Guardian by the end of March 2025 to address rising security concerns. The initiative will begin in the western counties of Grand Cape Mount, Bomi, and Gbarpolu.
Liberia has seen an increase in transnational crimes, including arms and drug trafficking, maritime threats, and smuggling operations. Authorities say these activities pose serious risks to national security.
Major El-Dorado Nyanti Jebboe, Acting Chief of Public Affairs, emphasized the urgency of the operation, vowing to restore public confidence and strengthen national security.
