More than 9,600 cases of gender-based violence (GBV) have been recorded in Côte d’Ivoire this year.

Dr. Fofana Epse Binaté Namizata, a Gender Technical Advisor, revealed the figures at a government forum in Abidjan.

She also highlighted progress in promoting women’s rights in the country.
