This week’s episode focuses on AI and its potential in combating climate change.
Artificial Intelligence of AI, is a catch-all term for a group of technologies that can process information and, at least superficially, mimic human thinking.
Basic forms of AI have been around since the 1950s.
However, the technology has evolved at a breakneck pace in recent years, in part because of advances in computing power and the explosion of data, which is crucial for training AI models.
Existing AI systems include tools that predict the weather, track icebergs, identify pollution, improve agriculture and reduce its environmental impact.
But are there other ways or means that AI could aid in the fight against climate change?
