The Progressive Liberation Alliance (PLA), a humanitarian organization, has condemned the alarming wave of unexplained deaths and disappearances of citizens in various regions of Liberia.
In recent months, there have been reports of lifeless bodies being discovered in Montserrado County and in some rural areas of the country.
Additionally, individuals have gone missing under mysterious circumstances.
In an interview with WADR, Edwin Bemah, the head of the Progressive Liberation Alliance, characterized these incidents as significant threats to the security of the state.
He called upon the government of Joseph Boakai to address the situation promptly by ensuring the arrest and prosecution of those responsible for these alarming events, as well as protecting ordinary citizens.
Furthermore, the leader of the humanitarian organization urged the United States government to reconsider its plans to deport illegal Liberian immigrants.
According to Bemah, Liberia is not equipped to accommodate its citizens returning from abroad, given the current challenges facing the country.
