In Senegal, civic organization BudgIT has raised concerns over the government’s plan to compensate victims of political unrest between 2021 and 2024.

The Ministry of Family and Solidarity announced that each bereaved family will receive 10 million CFA francs in financial aid.

While supporting compensation, BudgIT insists on a thorough investigation to ensure accountability and transparency.
