Senegal expands rural water supply with $100B project

Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko has launched phase two of Senegal’s rural drinking water project.

Unveiled in Kébémer, Louga region, the initiative aims to improve access to clean water.

With $100 billion in funding, the project will construct critical hydraulic infrastructure.

The government says this expansion will significantly enhance rural water access nationwide.
