The Senegalese National Assembly has adopted a resolution to form an ad hoc committee tasked with examining the request to lift the parliamentary immunity of MP Mouhamadou Ngom, also known as Farba Ngom.
The committee will prepare a report to be presented at a subsequent plenary session, where deputies will decide whether to lift the MP’s immunity.
Farba Ngom has been implicated in a money laundering case, according to a press release from the financial judicial pool. His legal team, led by Maitre Doudou Ndoye, has responded to the ongoing proceedings.
