Togo has prioritized the fight against flooding in 2025, with the government allocating nearly 1.5 billion CFA francs to address the issue in the capital and other high-risk areas.

The Ministry of Water and Sanitation announced the initiative, which will see the construction and rehabilitation of infrastructure aimed at mitigating the effects of climate change and reducing the risks of flooding in vulnerable regions.
