The Ivorian government addressed pressing issues during Wednesday’s council of ministers meeting, including President Emmanuel Macron’s recent remarks and the planned withdrawal of French troops from Côte d’Ivoire.

Government spokesperson Amadou Coulibaly dismissed the possibility of political dialogue before the upcoming presidential elections, emphasizing that the focus remains on ensuring a peaceful and credible process.

On the withdrawal of French troops, Coulibaly reassured citizens that the country is prepared to manage its security autonomously, reflecting Côte d’Ivoire’s commitment to strengthening its defense capabilities amid evolving regional dynamics.
