Ghana’s Electoral Commission has declared results for seven of the nine constituencies with outstanding results, favoring the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) after a re-collation process.
The Commission initially withheld results for these constituencies, citing irregularities, including alleged declarations made under duress, reportedly instigated by political parties.
The main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), poised to form the next government, has rejected the re-collation process, labeling it illegal and raising concerns over the credibility of the decision.
This development has heightened tensions as both parties await resolution on the remaining constituencies.
