Niamey, the capital of Niger, is hosting a round table discussion on the Children’s Voices for Peace in the Sahel Project, drawing participants from across the central Sahel region.
Themed “Effective inclusion of children and young people in the decision-making process,” the event highlights the need for empowering younger generations in peacebuilding efforts. Participants, including policymakers, civil society representatives, and young advocates, are exploring strategies to integrate children’s perspectives into policy development and governance in the region.
The project aims to address the challenges faced by children in conflict zones while fostering their active participation in shaping a peaceful and inclusive future for the Sahel.
