On Tuesday, Fojo, a Swedish based Organization that supports media development and independence, paid a courtesy call to West Africa Democracy Radio in Dakar.
Represented by Jean Nyaradzo Mujati, the Programme Manager Sub-Saharan Africa/Zimbabwe and Agneta Soderberg Jacobson, Gender expert and Senior advisor, corroborates the importance of media freedom and its viability, especially with media entities at local communities.
The FOJO team noted that just as independent journalism is an inalienable part of democracy, it sees it as an essential element of an environmentally, socially and economically sustainable society.
