Prof. Kwesi Anning, a security analyst and former Director of Research at the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre, has expressed concern over the delay by Ghana’s Electoral Commission (EC) in announcing the official results of the December 7 elections.
Speaking to the media, Prof. Anning described the prolonged wait as “problematic,” noting that it could heighten tensions and create unnecessary anxiety among citizens.
He urged the EC to expedite the collation process while maintaining transparency, emphasizing the need for timely communication to sustain public trust and ensure peace.
