Students of the University of The Gambia staged a peaceful protest in Kanifing, demanding the reinstatement of two dismissed lecturers.
Although the official UTG Student Union advised against protests, citing resolved concerns, a faction of students proceeded with demonstrations, raising issues about the university’s decision-making processes. Organizers, including Alasan Jeng, expressed dissatisfaction and reiterated calls for justice and transparency.
