A group of concerned citizens known as the Coalition of Progressive Gambians organized a peaceful protest to express their strong opposition to the Gambia’s 2024 draft constitution.

The protesters, numbering in their dozens began their march at Bond Road and made their way to the National Assembly in Banjul, calling for the return of the 2020 draft constitution, which they believe reflects the true wishes and aspirations of the Gambian people.
