The Sahel region that is facing crisis, ranging from armed conflict to the effect of climate change, resulting to flood and drought.

Particularly in Mali, the flood toll has been revised upwards with nearly 350,000 people officially considered victims.

This is according to the Interministerial Committee for Crisis and Disaster Management which also reports 84 deaths as a result of the floods.

Several parts of Mali are affected by the bad weather, but the most impacted regions remain those of Bamako, Ségou, and Gao.
