The West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) has launched its Environmental Assessment of Civic Space in West Africa Report for 2023.
The report, which sadly revealed that not much has changed from the previous year in terms of freedoms and democratic indicators, confirms that there are increasing efforts by governments across the subregion to stifle the democratic, economic as well as digital rights.
Nana Asantewa Afadzinu, the Executive Director, West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) speaks on the report.
