The Gambia’s Justice Minister and Attorney General, Dawda A. Jallow, says the government has had a series of consultations with various stakeholders on the draft constitution before it was gazetted recently.

This comes amid concerns from sections of the public and some Civil Society Organisations that the government had not done enough consultations before gazetting the document.

Speaking during a press conference in Banjul on Wednesday, Justice Minister Jallow highlighted some of the consultative steps the government had undertaken ahead of the introduction of the 2024 Draft Constitution
