The Supreme Court of Liberia has overturned the life sentence imposed by Criminal Court ‘A’ Judge, Roosevelt Willie, on former Chief Justice, Gloria Musu Scott, and her relatives in connection with the death of Charlotte Musu.

In June 2023, the former Chief Justice and three other family members were arrested and indicted in connection with the death of Charlotte Musu, the niece of the former Chief Justice.

WADR’s Darlington Porkpa followed the proceeding and now reports.

Speaking Wednesday afternoon following her release from the Monrovia Central Prison, the former Chief Justice said a lot of innocent people are held behind bars for crimes they did not commit.
