GIABA, Inter-Governmental Action Group against Money Laundering in West Africa, says disrupting the financing and local economies of violence is crucial to defeating terrorist groups, which has become a menace across the subregion.
The ECOWAS agencies, which protects the national economies and the financial and banking systems of signatory States against the proceeds of crime and combat the financing of terrorism, asserts that however, it is making significant strides to erode the negative impact of money laundering and terrorist financing.
