The Department of State Services (DSS) has warned individuals and groups planning a nationwide protest in Nigeria to abandon their plans, citing a sinister plot to infiltrate the demonstration and cause chaos and violence.

In a statement, the DSS said it has confirmed a political motive behind the protest, aimed at smearing the government and achieving regime change.
