Abidjan, the Ivorian commercial hub, has been facing an epidemic of dengue fever in recent days.

More than 2,600 suspected cases, including 383 confirmed cases, have been reported by the Ministry of Health.

The General Directorate of the National Institute of Public Hygiene is urging the population to take preventive measures while policies are being drawn up to deal with the situation.
