Including women in justice delivery is crucial for several reasons. Women bring unique perspectives and experiences that enhance the fairness and comprehensiveness of legal decisions.

Their involvement ensures the justice system is more representative and empathetic towards issues affecting women, such as domestic violence, sexual harassment, and discrimination. It is also vital to protect women from discrimination and sexual harassment within the justice system itself.

Today, as we continue with our conversation on women’s rights activism and advocacy, we are putting the spotlight on the Institute for African Women in Law (IAWL).

The institute uses evidence-based research, stakeholder engagement, and public advocacy to drive policy reforms for equitable and women-inclusive institutional practices and policies that support women’s career development and leadership in legal fraternity
