some political analysts have been reacting to the President  Bassirou Diomaye Faye engagement with the press over the weekend. 

During the nearly two-hour session, the president discussed various topics, including politics, economics, diplomacy, and good governance.

President  Bassirou Diomaye accused the previous Macky Sall led administration of emptying the country’s coffers before exiting office.

Some political watchers say the president’s assertions are reminiscent of the past, as Macky Sall had accused his predecessor, Abdoulaye Wade, of similar behavior in 2012.
