The Nigerian government has announced plans to file a complaint with the Newspapers Proprietors Association of Nigeria (NPAN) and approach the court over a report by a newspaper, Daily Trust Newspapers, on the Samoa agreement.

The report, which the government described as “fake and mischievous,” claimed that Nigeria signed an agreement endorsing the rights of LGBTQI+ individuals and would receive $150 billion for endorsing the deal.
