Mali and Russia are strengthening their cooperation in the field of energy. To this end, a high-level Russian delegation has been in Bamako since Monday.

The two countries have signed several memoranda, including one on nuclear power. Moscow wants to position itself as a key player in the energy sector in West Africa.
