Oncology doctors in Ghana, at the country’s second largest referral hospital, the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) have called of a strike which begun on June 24.
This follows a meeting with the hospital’s management.
The strike was in protest against delays in repairing a critical piece of equipment, the Linear Accelerator System, which has been out of service since October 2023.
The doctors have been reassured by the hospital management that the situation is being resolved, with an assurance from the Minister of Health, Dr Bernard Okoe Boye, to support the hospital in its operations.
