Burkina Faso’s lawyers are up in arms against the military authorities.
They began a five-day strike on Tuesday during which there will be no hearings in any of the country’s courts.
Among other things, they are demanding that the rules governing criminal procedure in Burkina Faso be respected with regard to all defendants.
Augustine Kollie reports that the legal practitioners are also calling for the state to respect and enforce court rulings against all defendants.
