The Gambia’s president, Adama Barrow, has approved for The Gambia to file a Reply Brief to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague.
The Reply Brief is related to its case before the ICJ against Myanmar for the Rohingya genocide. In February 2022, the ICJ rejected Myanmar’s preliminary objections to the case brought by The Gambia, allowing the case to proceed to the merits phase.
The Gambia is arguing that Myanmar violated the Genocide Convention through its treatment of the Rohingya minority.
