The debate on a possible motion of censure is taking place over Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko’s general policy statement whose date is unknown.
It all started with a comment by the government spokesman on a private radio station during the weekend.
According to Moustapha Sarré, opposition MPs are obliged to take account of the results of the presidential election of March 24, 2024, so as not to be disowned by the people.
This statement angered the Benno Bokk Yakar parliamentary group, which reacted in a press release.
