Nigerian citizens are voicing their concerns regarding the government’s recent approval, conveyed by the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), of an electricity rate increase for consumers in Band A.

The Vice Chairman of NERC, Musiliu Oseni, announced the tariff adjustment, raising the rate to N225 per kilowatt hour from the existing N66.
