Eleven civil society and human rights organizations in Burkina Faso have jointly denounced the alarming trend of citizen disappearances in recent months.
They allege that the authorities are engaged in extrajudicial abductions targeting individuals who express dissent against the government.
These organizations have documented over 20 instances of individuals vanishing, with some reportedly being deployed to conflict zones as part of counterterrorism efforts.
