This edition focuses on a critical health and human issue – Cancer, the second leading cause of death worldwide, accounting for an estimated 9.6 million deaths, in 2018, according to the World Health Organization, WHO.

Cancer is a large group of diseases that can start in almost any organ or tissue of the body when abnormal cells grow uncontrollably, invade adjoining parts of the body, and spread to other organs.

Symptoms caused by cancer will vary depending on what part of the body is affected, they include, fatigue, lumps, weight changes, skin changes, changes in bowel or bladder habits, persistent cough or trouble breathing, and so on.

Lung, prostate, colorectal, stomach, and liver cancer are the most common types of cancer in men, while breast, lung, cervical, and thyroid cancer are the most common among women.

But what causes this ravenous disease? How does it develop? What effect does it have on the body system?
