Cnflicting statements are arising in Liberia, regarding the exact amount left in the country’s coffers by the previous administration of George Weah.
During his handover speech, Weah stated that his administration was leaving approximately 40 million United States dollars in the country’s reserve.
However, the new President, Joseph Boaki, rejected this claim, asserting that his administration inherited only 20.5 million. This discrepancy has prompted a legislative inquiry.
