MALI: UN Security Council Calls For Resumption of Dialogue in Bamako to Implement Algiers Agreement

The United Nations Security Council calls on the signatory parties in Mali, to resume dialogue to implement the Algiers Agreement.

Talks between Bamako and the armed groups in the north have been slow for over a year.

The authorities now seem to be turning to an inter-Malian dialogue, which the Permanent Strategic Framework rejects.

Neither side has yet reacted to the UN’s call.
